Welcome!

First of all, bravo for reaching out for help. The fact that you are doing an internet search for a therapist in your area is the first step to getting better, and it is a big one so congratulations on starting your journey! Our counseling practice believes in the journey. This is why we named it “Wayfare Counseling”. Wayfare is an Old English word that means “to go on a journey”. This is what we believe counseling is all about. The journey is just as important as the recovery, and we would love to come alongside you in that process..

"When we deny the story, it defines us. When we own the story, we can write a brave new ending." - Brene Brown

While specializing in both sexual addiction recovery work and complex trauma, we also work with individual clients struggling with a variety of other issues like depression, anxiety, or relationship issues. We enjoy working with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families to assist in effective communication and relational expression. What makes our practice special is the fact that we operate through the lens of attachment theory. This framework offers insights into emotional regulation and relational deficits. This theory suggests that we must look backward so that the view going forward is clearer.
